Yes. Our IPPs are raised outdoors with room to forage and explore as they grow.

Are Idaho Pasture Pigs good foragers?
Yes. Foraging is one of the things that makes IPPs well-suited to pasture-based farming. They naturally enjoy grazing and exploring their surroundings.
Do you sell Idaho Pasture Pig piglets?
Yes! When available, we may offer Idaho Pasture Pig piglets to either families or small farms. Piglets are raised here on our farm until they’re ready to go to their new homes. Availability will vary, so check our “What’s Available” page or contact us for current information.
How big do Idaho Pasture Pigs get?
They are a medium-sized pig breed. Mature size can vary depending on genetics, sex, and nutrition.
Why did you choose Idaho Pasture Pigs?
They do not root to the extent of other pig breeds. And, they fit the way we want to raise animals: outdoors, with plenty of room to forage and behave like pigs. We also appreciate their generally calm nature and suitability for pasture-based farming.
What does “pasture-raised” mean?
For us, it means our pigs spend their time outdoors with access to pasture and space to forage and explore. They’re raised as pigs should be raised: with room to move and plenty of opportunity to engage in natural behaviors.
Do you process the pigs for pork?
No. We raise our IPPs on the farm, but we do not currently process or sell the pork ourselves. For customers looking for local processing options, we’re happy to recommend several reputable processors in the area.
Can you deliver piglets?
For local East Tennessee, southern Kentucky or western Virginia customers, we may be able to deliver piglets directly to you. Delivery availability depends on location and scheduling, so reach out to us to discuss your needs.
How can I see the pigs before purchasing?

Can I visit the farm?
Our farm is a private family property and is not open to public visits or drop-in visitors. We love sharing glimpses of farm life through our website and social media, but we ask that visitors respect our family’s privacy and do not come onto the property without an appointment.
